“After several years working and living abroad, I initially pursued a career in healthcare before starting my undergraduate opera studies as a more mature student. I am now following my rather eclectic passions, having co-founded the early music group Leodis Consort, run music workshops for children with additional needs and I am currently involved in a number of free-improvisation groups. I also enjoy composing, particularly for ancient and unconventional instruments.
I'm a country girl at heart from a small village in the Yorkshire Dales, where I spent my childhood lambing and hay baling. Beyond opera, I write and perform folk music with my band, enjoy hiking, and am currently learning German as my latest challenge.”
