Job title: Part time administrator (remote/hybrid)
Reports to: Chief executive
Salary: £26,000 pro rata
Hours: 2-3 days per week (including occasional evenings and weekends)
Terms: Freelance or PAYE

We’re looking for a part-time administrator to help with the smooth-running of BYO.

We’re up to lots of new and exciting things at the moment (like the launch of our online portal, BYO hub, and brand new creative programmes) and there are even more in the pipeline. All that means that we need a new member of staff to help make it all happen smoothly. Our administrator will be a super important part of our small team, so they’ll need to be organised and efficient, able to split their time between lots of different things at the same time, and great at communicating with different types of people.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • general administrative support to the chief executive and senior management team

  • research and reporting for funders

  • membership and events administration

  • organisation and minuting of meetings and committees

  • donation and transaction tracking

  • social media and marketing support

  • participation in department activities, meetings and events

Essential skills

  • competent use of IT, like Google Drive and Microsoft Office, and the ability to figure out and learn new things when you need to

  • confidence using databases and CRM systems (we use Raiser’s Edge NXT) – any direct experience is a bonus, but at the very least you’ll need to be able to show you can pick up new systems quickly

  • excellent communication skills – you’ll be talking to people across the organisation, from participants to board members

how to apply

Send a CV and cover letter over to recruitment@byo.org.uk by 5pm on 12 November. We’ll shortlist applicants and invite them for interview the following week.
